Staff Software Engineer, Data Platform

We're looking for a Staff Software Engineer, Data Platform to join our team in the US - Remote. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling our data infrastructure and analytics capabilities. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to enable data-driven decision making across the organization. You'll also mentor and grow junior engineers on the team. What You'll Do: - Design and build scalable, fault-tolerant, and highly available data processing pipelines and infrastructure. - Enhance our data ingestion, transformation, and storage capabilities to support diverse data sources and use cases. - Improve data quality, security, and governance practices across the organization. - Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers. - Drive innovation and introduce new technologies and best practices to our data platform. Who You Are: - 6+ years of experience as a software engineer, with a focus on distributed systems and data infrastructure. - Strong expertise in building and operating large-scale data processing pipelines using technologies like Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, Snowflake, and cloud data warehouses. - Proficient in programming languages like Python, Scala, or Go. - Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. - Familiarity with agile software development practices and tooling. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. - Passion for mentoring and growing junior engineers.
