MAJOR FUNCTION:
Examines, evaluates, plans and implements a program of purposeful activities to develop or improve functional skills necessary to achieve the maximum physical or mental functioning of a patient or client for optimum performance. Develops and carries out the plan of care including education of patient /client. Directs and supervises support personnel in Occupational Therapy services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
- Graduate from a program in Occupational Therapy.
- Holds one of the following degrees: Bachelor of Science or Master’s in Occupational Therapy.
- Acute Care and/or Outpatient experience preferred.
Certification/Licensure:
- Must maintain current license in the State of NJ to practice Occupational Therapy.
- Current BLS (American Heart Association) required within 60 days of being hired into the position.
- National Certification in specialty area preferred
