MAJOR FUNCTION:
Provides professional nursing care to lactating mother/baby couplets. Meets the needs of patient/resident family and multidisciplinary team through communication, coordination, and evaluation. Complies with Inspira policies and procedures, nursing standards of practice and regulatory bodies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience: •
You must be enrolled in a BSN or MSN program from an accredited school of professional nursing within six months of hire or rehire and graduate on or before the third employment anniversary date into a nursing position. * BSN or MSN graduates preferred • *Grandfathered Exemption of Educational Requirement: • Hired on or before May 31, 2013 -- IMC • Hired on or before August 4, 2015 – IMCW • Hired on or before May 31, 2023 – IMCM • Must have documented clinical hours to sit for IBCLC exam • Two years (2) applicable RN Lactation experience or greater required.
Certification/Licensure: •
Current active RN licensure with New Jersey State Board of Nursing as required by law. • American Heart Association BLS required. • Neonatal Resuscitation Program NRP required. • IBCLC certification required. Successful completion of IBCLC exam within 2 years of hire
