TCIS India is expanding and we are looking for an experienced Inspector to support our growing industrial inspection operations across India.
Position: Inspection Engineer / EN 10204 Type 3.2 Inspector
Location: India (Candidates based in Gujarat will be preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct EN 10204 Type 3.2 inspections at manufacturers' facilities, fabrication shops, warehouses, and project sites
- Witness material identification, manufacturing processes, inspections, tests, and final acceptance activities
- Review Material Test Certificates (MTCs), quality records, manufacturing documents, inspection reports, and test certificates
- Verify compliance with applicable specifications, client requirements, international standards, approved procedures, and purchase order requirements
- Witness dimensional inspections, visual inspections, NDT activities, mechanical testing, hydrostatic testing, coating inspections, and other quality control activities as applicable
- Prepare accurate inspection reports, site observations, and photographic records
- Coordinate with clients, manufacturers, contractors, and project stakeholders during inspections
- Report non-conformities, observations, and deviations in a clear and professional manner
- Maintain impartiality, integrity, and confidentiality throughout inspection activities
- Travel to supplier locations and project sites across India and overseas when required
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial inspection, quality assurance, quality control, or third-party inspection activities
- Practical experience in steel mills, pipe mills, pressure equipment manufacturing, structural steel fabrication, valves, forgings, castings, or related industrial sectors
- Strong understanding of EN 10204 Type 3.2 certification requirements and third-party inspection practices
- Experience reviewing manufacturing documentation, quality plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs), MTCs, and NDT records
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, standards, and technical documentation
- Good command of written and spoken English is mandatory
- Ability to prepare professional inspection reports and communicate effectively with international clients, manufacturers, and project stakeholders
- Good report writing, communication, and client-facing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Willingness to travel extensively
Preferred Qualifications:
- CSWIP 3.1, BGAS, NACE, ASNT Level II, API, AWS, or equivalent industry certifications
- ISO 9712 certification in one or more NDT methods (UT, RT, MT, PT, VT, etc.) will be considered a significant advantage
- Experience with major EPC, oil & gas, petrochemical, power, renewable energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, or marine projects
- Previous experience working with third-party inspection agencies, certification bodies, or TIC companies
- Gujarat-based candidates will be given preference
