Senior Enterprise Account Executive – AI Voice Agents
Company: StepsAI
Location: Hyderabad, India
Work mode: Full-time, work from office
Experience: 5+ years in B2B enterprise sales
About StepsAI
StepsAI builds AI agents that help businesses handle customer conversations across phone, WhatsApp, websites and social channels. Our voice agents can qualify leads, answer customer questions, book appointments, follow up on enquiries and automate repeatable customer workflows.
We’re expanding our voice-agent business in India. We’re looking for a strong enterprise seller who can find the right accounts, understand their operations and close meaningful deals.
The role
You will own the sales cycle from the first prospecting call to a signed contract and a successful handoff to implementation.
This is a hands-on sales role. You will build your own pipeline, reach decision-makers, lead discovery, shape a business case, coordinate technical and compliance discussions, and close paid pilots and annual contracts.
You should be comfortable selling a new solution to senior business leaders—and able to make the value clear without relying on a generic AI pitch.
What you’ll own
- Build and manage a pipeline of enterprise and mid-market accounts in India.
- Prospect independently through calls, email, LinkedIn, referrals, events and partner relationships.
- Identify high-volume customer workflows where voice agents can improve revenue, service or operating efficiency.
- Develop relationships with business heads in customer service, contact centres, collections, sales operations, dealer operations and digital transformation.
- Lead discovery meetings and quantify the current cost, workload or missed opportunity.
- Present tailored demos using the customer’s use case, workflow and systems.
- Work with product, engineering and implementation teams to define integrations, call flows, human handoffs and pilot success measures.
- Coordinate with IT, security, compliance, legal and procurement teams through evaluation and contracting.
- Close paid pilots and convert successful pilots into annual production contracts.
- Expand accounts into additional workflows, teams, regions and languages.
- Maintain a reliable forecast and clear CRM records.
Initial markets
You will help StepsAI build repeatable sales in:
- NBFCs and lending: enquiry follow-up, customer service, due-date reminders and other approved customer workflows.
- Insurance: quote follow-up, renewals, policy service and customer retention.
- Automotive and dealer networks: enquiry follow-up, test-drive booking, service reminders and customer feedback.
- High-volume commerce and logistics: COD confirmation, delivery exceptions, order support and returns.
You do not need to have sold into every industry. You do need to know how to learn a customer’s business and turn an operational problem into a funded project.
What we’re looking for
- At least 5 years of successful B2B sales experience, including enterprise or strategic accounts.
- A track record of personally sourcing and closing complex deals—not only managing inbound leads or passing opportunities to another team.
- Experience selling SaaS, cloud, contact-centre, telecom, CRM, automation or technology solutions.
- The ability to sell to senior stakeholders and build consensus across business, IT, compliance and procurement teams.
- Strong discovery skills: you can uncover call volumes, workflow costs, existing systems, decision criteria and buying timelines.
- Confidence presenting to senior buyers and handling commercial, technical and operational objections.
- Strong written and spoken communication in English. Hindi or an Indian regional language is an advantage.
- A practical, persistent and accountable approach to targets, follow-ups and forecasting.
You’ll stand out if you have
- Existing relationships with NBFCs, banks, insurers, automotive groups, contact centres or large consumer businesses.
- Experience selling AI, conversational automation, voice technology, CCaaS, BPO or customer-experience solutions.
- Closed multi-stakeholder deals involving pilots, integrations, security reviews or procurement.
- Built a new territory or market rather than relying on an established brand and inbound demand.
- Experience working with channel partners, system integrators or telecom providers.
How we’ll evaluate candidates
We care about what you have personally sold and how you sold it. Please be ready to discuss:
- A complex deal you sourced or materially advanced and closed.
- The buyer, deal value, sales cycle, blockers and your specific contribution.
- How you built pipeline when inbound leads were limited.
* How you would sell a voice agent to an enterprise with a large customer-contact operation.
Apply
Send your CV with a short note about the largest B2B deal you personally helped close, your role in winning it, and the kind of enterprise customers you can reach.
