Role Description
Client company is looking for a Sales & Marketing professional, who will act as a key link between our sales team, clients, and internal operations. The role involves managing enquiries, generating and following up on quotations, handling order processes, coordinating with vendors, ensuring invoicing accuracy, and maintaining financial reconciliations and reporting.
Qualifications
- Proven skills in Inside Sales and Lead Generation
- Experience in maintaining high levels of Customer Satisfaction and Account Management
- Demonstrated ability to develop strong client relationships
- Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of the Human Resource industry is a plus
- Proficiency in CRM tools.
- B.Tech / BE in MECHANICAL ENGINEERING & / or MBA or a related field is preferred.
- Candidate from Construction Equipment / Industrial Equipment / Cranes / Equipment Rental backgrounds will be preferred.
Experience: 3-6 years
Salary: 6-7 Lpa
Location: PUNE.
Key Responsibilities
- Enquiry Generation & Follow-up
- Receive and manage incoming sales enquiries from potential clients.
- Qualify leads, coordinate with sales team, and ensure timely follow-up.
- Quotation Management
- Prepare and send detailed sales quotations to clients
- Customize quotation proposals as per client needs
- Maintain a track of sent quotes, versioning, and expiry dates
- Quotation Follow-up & Negotiation
- Actively follow up with clients on quotations
- Handle client negotiations on pricing, terms, and conditions
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (sales, finance, operations) to finalize negotiated terms
- Order Finalization
- Convert accepted quotations into confirmed orders
- Ensure all internal approvals and documentation are completed for order confirmation
- Purchase Order (PO) Follow-up
- Track client PO issuance
- Coordinate with clients to clarify PO details (quantities, delivery terms, dates)
- Escalate delays or mismatches internally
- New Vendor Creation Process
- Manage onboarding of new vendors in the system
- Collect required documentation (vendor registration forms, tax details, compliance)
- Coordinate with procurement / finance to validate and approve vendor creation
- Invoice Re-checking
- Review generated invoices for accuracy (pricing, quantities, tax)
- Validate against PO, order details, quotation, and delivery records
- Liaise with finance and operations to correct discrepancies
- Client-wise Sales Data Maintenance
- Maintain and update sales data per client (orders, quotations, revenue)
- Produce client-wise dashboards / trackers for the sales team
- Ledger Reconciliation with Clients
- Reconcile client statements / ledgers with internal records
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies (payments, credits, returns)
- Client PO Data Management
- Maintain a repository of all client POs (active, pending, completed)
- Track PO aging, revisions, and cancellations
- Payment Follow-up
- Regularly follow up with clients on pending payments
- Send reminders / payment requests as needed
- Coordinate with finance for escalations where payments are due or delayed
- Payment Advice
- Prepare and send payment advices / payment confirmations to clients
- Ensure clarity in payment status, remaining dues, and next steps
- Reporting: Sales, Revenue, & Expenses
- Generate periodic sales reports (weekly / monthly / quarterly)
- Track revenue vs. targets, expenses, and margins
- Provide insights / analysis on performance trends, client behavior, and financial health
