Inside Sales & Retention Executive – Skincare (D2C & Marketplaces)

Areoveda is a fast-growing clean skincare brand focused on mothers and babies, built on safety, science and trust. We operate across our D2C website and key marketplaces and are now strengthening our customer retention and revenue per customer.
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Inside Sales & Retention Executive who will own upselling, cross-selling, customer retention and customer experience across our D2C and marketplace customers.
This is a revenue + customer experience role, not a call-centre support role.
You will directly contribute to:
- repeat purchase rate,
- average order value (AOV),
- customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Key Responsibilities1. Upsell & Cross-sell (Primary KPI)
- Proactively engage with new and existing customers via calls, WhatsApp and CRM tools.
- Recommend relevant Areoveda products and routines based on:
- skin concern,
- stage of motherhood,
- baby age and use-case.
- Drive:
- bundle upgrades,
- outine completion (cleanser + serum + cream, etc.),
- repeat and refill orders.
2. Retention & Repeat Purchase Programs
- Own customer callbacks for:
- first-order follow-ups,
- post-delivery care calls,
- reorder reminders.
- Execute retention journeys such as:
- refill reminders,
- replenishment cycles,
- new product introductions for existing users.
- Actively work towards improving:
- repeat rate,
- customer lifetime value (CLTV).
3. Customer Experience & Relationship Management
- Act as a single point of contact for high-intent and high-value customers.
- Resolve concerns related to:
- product usage,
- order issues,
- suitability and routine guidance (within approved brand and training frameworks).
- Ensure a premium and empathetic experience for mothers and caregivers.
4. Lead & Order Conversion
- Convert:
- inbound enquiries from website, social media and WhatsApp,
- missed checkout / abandoned order leads,
- marketplace customer enquiries (as per platform policies).
- Work closely with marketing and performance teams to convert warm leads.
5. CRM & Data Discipline
- Maintain accurate records of:
- conversations,
- concerns,
- recommendations,
- outcomes in CRM.
- Track and report daily:
- conversions,
- upsell success,
- repeat order wins,
- reasons for drop-offs.
6. Cross-functional Feedback
- Share structured feedback with:
- marketing (customer objections, common questions),
- product team (usage issues, improvement suggestions),
- growth and CX teams (journey gaps).

- Upsell & cross-sell conversion rate
- Incremental revenue from retention and callbacks
- Average order value (AOV) uplift
- Customer satisfaction and resolution quality
Candidate ProfileMust Have
- Minimum 1+ years of inside sales / retention / customer success experience in:
- skincare,
- beauty,
- personal care,
- wellness or baby care brands.
- Strong experience in:
- upselling and cross-selling on live customer interactions.
- Hands-on experience working with:
- CRM tools,
- WhatsApp / tele-calling / chat based selling.
- Proven ability to handle customer objections and convert with empathy.
Good to Have
- Prior exposure to:
- D2C brands,
- marketplace customers (Amazon / Flipkart / FirstCry / Nykaa).
- Understanding of:
- skincare routines,
- ingredient-based selling,
- safety-first communication (especially for the mother & baby category).

- Strong communication skills (English and Hindi)

- Structured follow-up and task discipline
- Comfortable working with targets and daily performance tracking
