Job Summary
The Senior Executive – API Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth through the sale of API-based solutions/products by identifying new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and closing commercial deals. The role involves managing the end-to-end sales cycle, building strong relationships with clients and partners, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful API integrations and customer onboarding.
Key Responsibilities
1) Sales & Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in domestic and international markets.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation, negotiation, and deal closure.
- Approach potential clients/partners and initiate API-based commercial discussions.
- Achieve assigned revenue and growth targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
2) Client & Partner Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with API clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Understand client requirements and propose suitable API solutions.
- Provide post-sales support and manage accounts until successful onboarding and first transactions.
3) Commercial & Technical Coordination
- Prepare proposals, quotations, contracts, and commercial documentation.
- Coordinate with technical, onboarding, product, and operations teams to ensure smooth API integration and implementation.
- Evaluate technical and commercial feasibility of API partnerships.
4) Market & Performance Analysis
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate sales data, reports, forecasts, and CRM records.
- Track KPIs related to pipeline growth, deal conversion, and client activation.
5) Strategic Contribution
- Contribute to API sales strategy and business expansion initiatives.
- Provide feedback and insights to product and management teams to improve offerings.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred).
- 0-2 years of experience in API sales, SaaS sales, technology sales, or B2B business development.
- Experience in managing partnerships or enterprise clients is an advantage.
