Job Title: MAUI Developer (Mobile Development)
Location: Wixom, MI (Hybrid Role) Duration: Contract
Project Overview
- One of our clients is forming a new contract-only mobile development team focused on replatforming their mobile applications from Xamarin to .NET MAUI.
- This involves a lift-and-shift of the current platform, followed by the development of two new mobile products.
- The goal is a highly collaborative team environment, with one contractor acting as team lead, pending confirmation.
Must-Have Technical Skills:
- .NET MAUI development (Required)
- Bluetooth and IoT experience working with connected devices
- Strong C#/.NET backend development
- Prior experience migrating from Xamarin to MAUI
- Use of AI tools in development workflows (non-negotiable)
Soft Skills & Collaboration:
- Team-first mentality no lone-wolf developers
- Open to feedback, collaborative, and respectful in communication
- Strong interpersonal skills, especially if engaging with stakeholders
- Willingness to take direction, contribute to group problem-solving
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Work Environment:
- Team Size: 4 developers (including a likely lead returning contractor)
- developer must be local to Wixom, MI expected onsite 1 2 times per week
- Flexible on working style, pair programming is not required
- Use of AI in development is strongly encouraged and expected to be discussed during interviews
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the migration of legacy mobile apps from Xamarin to MAUI
- Collaborate with team members to build and launch new mobile applications
- Work with Bluetooth-enabled IoT devices
- Contribute to a positive team dynamic and uphold Lippert's collaborative standards
- Use AI tools to enhance coding efficiency
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders when needed
