Animal Hospital of Lewisville
is seeking a skilled and dependable Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician to join our growing team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on veterinary experience who is looking to stay engaged in clinical practice while maintaining schedule flexibility.

Animal Hospital of Lewisville provides compassionate, full-service veterinary care for dogs and cats throughout Lewisville, Clemmons, Pfafftown, Winston-Salem, Mocksville, and Rural Hall.

Our team is proud to deliver relationship-driven, high-quality medicine, offering services including:
  •  Preventive and wellness care 
  •  Surgery and dental procedures 
  •  Digital X-ray and ultrasound diagnostics 
  •  Echocardiograms and advanced imaging

  •  Urgent and sick patient care

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Provide safe and effective patient handling and restraint
  •  Assist veterinarians and technicians with exams, treatments, and procedures
  •  Administer medications and support pharmacy and prescription fulfillment
  •  Perform basic clinical support tasks (lab work, diagnostics, treatment prep as applicable) 
  •  Maintain cleanliness, organization, and efficiency throughout the hospital 
  •  Support care for boarding and hospitalized patients as needed 
  •  Communicate clearly with team members to ensure seamless patient care 
  •  Take initiative and contribute to a team-first, solutions-oriented environment

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

  • Minimum 1 year of veterinary experience preferred (assistant or technician level) 
  •  High school diploma or GED required 
  •  Strong understanding of clinical workflows and patient care standards
  •  Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team mindset
  •  Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
  •  Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active throughout shifts 
  •  Comfortable working in a clinical setting with potential exposure to infectious diseases

Scheduling Expectations


This is a part-time position with scheduling flexibility; however, participation in our rotating Saturday schedule is essential to support our team and ensure consistent patient care. We approach scheduling with fairness and collaboration, and all team members share in weekend coverage.
