Data Analyst (Commercial Analytics)

Are you passionate about turning data into strategy? Do you have a deep interest in how economic and market trends shape the energy sector - especially natural gas? Then we'd love to meet you. We're looking for a Market Intelligence Analyst to join our Commercial Operations team and work closely with our VP of Market Intelligence and Strategy. This is a high-impact role where your insights will directly influence strategic decisions and market moves. What You'll Do: • Integrate and analyze large datasets to support forecasting and market insights • Translate complex data into actionable insights that drive real business outcomes • Track macro/micro economic trends, regulatory shifts, and market dynamics • Build and manage insightful dashboards in Power BI and present to senior stakeholders • Use tools like SQL and Python to build scenario models and KPIs • Stay one step ahead of changes in the natural gas industry What You Bring: • 7-9 years of experience in market analysis, intelligence, or strategic analytics • Strong hands-on expertise in Power BI, SQL, and Python • Background in Economics, Data Science, Public Policy, or similar • A keen interest in energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors • Foundational finance knowledge + a knack for connecting numbers to strategy • Curiosity and persistence when digging into economic and market indicators Bonus if you're: • Familiar with R, Salesforce, or advanced Excel • Great at storytelling with data and presenting to non-technical audiences
