Job Description

Innovative Sheet Metal (ISM), a successful and fast-paced commercial contractor, is currently seeking a hardworking Sheet Metal Installer / Apprentice for commercial HVAC projects in Salt Lake City and the surrounding areas. This position is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in the sheet metal and mechanical trades, with 0–5+ years of experience.

Our team works on a wide variety of commercial projects, and we are looking for dependable individuals who are eager to learn, work safely, and take pride in quality work.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and seal  commercial ductwork.
• Use power tools and hand tools  safely and efficiently.
• Cut metal and assist with duct fabrication and installation tasks.
• Move and stage sheet metal  materials on job sites.
• Assist with demolition and removal  of existing HVAC systems as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and  organized workspace.
• Follow all jobsite safety  requirements and company policies.
• Work as part of a crew under the  direction of a foreman or lead installer.

Requirements

 Qualifications

• 0–5+ years of sheet metal or construction experience (commercial HVAC preferred).
• Willingness to learn and take  direction in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license and  reliable transportation required.
• Dependable attendance and ability  to work a consistent 40-hour work week.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and  perform physical jobsite work.
• Must be of good moral character and work well with others.
