Job Description: Innovation Officer (Equity-Based) – Kefilo Role Overview
We are looking for an
Innovation Officer who will drive
new product ideas, business models, and system-level innovations at Kefilo. This is a
core, high-ownership role focused on building differentiated solutions across
food, health transformation, delivery formats, and customer experience.
This is not a theoretical or research-only role — you will be responsible for taking ideas from
concept → pilot → scalable model, working closely with multiple teams.
Equity Structure (Important)
- This is a pure equity-based role (no fixed compensation initially)
- 3–4 rounds of discussions → 1-month NDA-based working cohort → Core team agreement
- Equity finalized post funding & Pvt. Ltd. registration
- 5-year vesting structure
- Fixed compensation begins post funding
- You will be part of a core 25+ member equity team being built
Key Responsibilities
- Innovation Strategy & Idea Development (Core Focus)
- Identify high-impact opportunities in food systems, health transformation, and consumer behavior
- Generate and validate unique product and business ideas aligned with Kefilo’s vision
- Focus on building non-obvious, high-differentiation solutions
- Product & Business Model Innovation
- Develop new formats such as goal-based meal systems, smart kiosks, functional foods, and hybrid service models
- Work on pricing innovation (outcome-based, bundled offerings, etc.)
- Create scalable models across B2C and B2B segments
- Pilot Execution & Validation
- Lead rapid experimentation and pilot programs
- Test ideas in real-world environments and gather insights
- Refine concepts into validated, market-ready offerings
- Cross-Functional Innovation Execution
- Work closely with food product, operations, marketing, and tech teams
- Ensure ideas are practical, executable, and scalable
- Bridge the gap between concept and on-ground implementation
- Process & System Innovation
- Improve existing systems across kitchen operations, delivery, customer journeys, and partner models
- Introduce efficiencies that reduce cost while improving outcomes
- Build replicable innovation frameworks for continuous improvement
- Strategic & Founder Collaboration
- Work directly with the founder on new initiatives and long-term innovation roadmap
- Contribute to defining Kefilo’s category positioning and differentiation
- Support expansion into new verticals and revenue streams
Who Should Apply
- 2–5 years experience in innovation, product strategy, startups, or business building
- Strong ability to think in terms of systems and business models, not just ideas
- Experience in food, health, D2C, or consumer startups is a plus
- Ability to execute — not just ideate
- High ownership mindset with strong problem-solving skills
