Position: Beverage Cart Attendant
Department: Golf shop
Reports To: Golf Shop Manager, Head Golf Professional
FLSA Status: Non-exempt, Seasonal, Full or Part Time
General Function:
The Beverage Cart Attendant enhances the golfer experience by providing friendly, efficient on‑course beverage service while safely operating the beverage cart and upholding all alcohol service and safety standards. This role focuses on delivering exceptional hospitality, maintaining product availability, and creating a welcoming atmosphere that supports the overall quality of the golf course environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly, professional, and prompt service
- Comfortable interacting with golfers while offering beverage and snack options
- Track sales, complete end‑of‑shift procedures, and follow cash‑handling and loss‑prevention policies
- Safely operate and navigate the beverage cart throughout the golf course
- Position the cart to avoid interrupting pace of play/serve guests without distracting players
- Keep cart and storage areas clean, organized, fully stocked and appealing to guests
- Serve alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages responsibly
- Monitor guest consumption and refuse service when necessary
- Maintain portion control and proper beverage handling
- Always Follow Responsible Alcohol Service (RAS) practices
- Rotate products using FIFO (First In, First Out)
- Monitor inventory levels and request restocks as needed
- Report spills, injuries, or incidents promptly to management
- Properly store beverages and snacks and dispose of ice and trash
- Occasional performs other duties that are assigned
- Reports malfunctioning equipment promptly to management
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Friendly, approachable, and service‑oriented
- Comfortable using radios or communication devices to coordinate with staff
- Ability to handle cash, POS systems, and tips
- Reliable, punctual, and present a positive and professional image
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of golf terminology is helpful but not required
- Comfortable multitasking in a fast‑paced environment
- Prior bartending or mobile beverage service experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Calm under pressure and able to handle busy periods smoothly
- Ability to take directions and accept corrections
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Requirements:
- Must follow IMGR&C team member handbook and golf course rules
- Must maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance at all times
- Must be able to walk and stand on hard surfaces for extended periods of time
- Must be able to obtain a New Mexico alcohol servers license
- Must have and maintain a valid drivers’ license
- Must have basic math and cash‑handling accuracy
- Must be able to bend and twist at the waist on a regular basis
- Must be able to reach above and below shoulder height with regular frequency
- Must be able to grasp, push, pull, carry and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds daily
- Exposure to hot and cold temperatures
- Must effectively communicate with fellow employees, managers, and other departments
- Must maintain accurate portion control
- Must keep inventory organized and rotation
- Must possess sufficient motor skills to operate beverage carts as required.
