Position: Golf Cart Attendant
Department: Golf Shop
Reports To: Cart Attendant Supervisor/Golf Shop Manager/Head Golf Professional
FLSA Status: Non-exempt, Seasonal, Full or Part Time
General Function:
The Golf Cart Attendant maintains the cart fleet, manages the driving range, handles club rentals, and supports daily course operations. This position serves as a frontline representative of the facility, providing courteous assistance to golfers, and upholding all safety and service standards. The attendant contributes to a positive guest experience by delivering prompt, professional service and maintaining the overall cleanliness and readiness of carts, equipment, and surrounding work areas.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare, stage, and organize golf carts for daily play
- Clean carts thoroughly after each use, including removing trash, wiping surfaces, and sanitizing touch points
- Charge electric carts and monitor battery levels throughout the day
- Inspect carts for mechanical issues, safety concerns, or damage
- Document and report any maintenance needs or incidents to management
- Greet golfers promptly and courteously upon arrival
- Assist with loading and unloading golf bags
- Provide course information, directions, and general assistance
- Maintain a professional, friendly presence around the bag drop, staging area, and clubhouse
- Support tournament operations, including bag handling and player flow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cart barn, staging area, and surrounding grounds
- Restock carts with scorecards, pencils, sand bottles, and other supplies
- Empty trash bins and maintain cleanliness around the clubhouse and practice areas
- Assist with setting up and breakdown for events, tournaments, and special activities
- Follow all operational procedures and safety guidelines
- Document and report any accidents or guest concerns
- Range setup, maintaining the range, cleanliness of range balls
- Issuing and inspecting club rentals

Requirements:
- Must follow IMGR&C team member handbook and golf course rules
- Must maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance at all times while on duty
- Must be able to walk and stand on hard surfaces for extended periods of time
- Must be able to bend and twist at the waist on a regular basis
- Must be able to reach above and below shoulder height with regular frequency
- Must be able to grasp, push, pull, carry and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, and greater weights on an occasional basis
- Must have and maintain a valid drivers’ license
- Must possess sufficient motor skills to operate carts and other equipment as required
