Job Title: Moulding Engineer
Job Summary: To manage and control all Injection Moulding operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, manpower utilization, machine efficiency, mould maintenance coordination, safety compliance, and continuous improvement activities are achieved.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: 50-60K/ Month
Location: Indore.
Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Operations & Production Leadership● Capacity & OEE Optimization: Lead daily operations across multi-ton machine cells (ranging from micro-molding to heavy-tonnage presses); maximize OEE, minimize cycle times, and eliminate scrap rates.
● Production Planning: Partner with supply chain and scheduling teams to synchronize production runs, minimize mold-changeover downtime (SMED implementation), and meet fluctuating customer demands.
2. Tooling● Tooling & Asset Management: Oversee toolroom operations, preventive mold maintenance, and tool life-cycle tracking. Collaborate with product design teams during Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews for new mold construction, hot runner systems, and core-pull sequences.
3. Quality Assurance & System Compliance● Root Cause Analysis: Drive rapid response troubleshooting for complex defects (e.g., flash, splay, burn marks, warping, short shots) using structured methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa).
● Regulatory Alignment: Maintain absolute compliance with industry-specific quality standard architectures.
4. Workforce Development & Safety● Technical Upskilling: Architect training tracks for processing technicians, machine operators, and toolmakers in modern molding techniques and safety protocol.
● EHS Leadership: Enforce a zero-harm manufacturing floor through machine guarding compliance, and 5S housekeeping standards.
Technical Qualifications● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Plastics Engineering, Polymer Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a highly related technical discipline. Master’s degree or MBA is an asset.
● Experience: 10–15 years of progressive experience in industrial injection molding operations, with at least 5 years in a definitive department head or plant leadership capacity.
