Exciting Opportunity: Safety Coordinator

 

Location: 2600 Belmont Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19131

 

Your Impact:

The Safety Coordinator provides operational and administrative support to the Director of Safety and Occupational Health Services and assists with the coordination and implementation of safety programs across all Inglis entities. This role supports regulatory compliance, safety initiatives, incident reporting processes, emergency preparedness activities, and departmental operations to help maintain a safe, compliant work environment. 

What You'll Do:

  • Support the employee incident management process, including ensuring incident reports are completed, documenting investigations, and submitting required injury reports to the workers’ compensation carrier within required timelines. 
  • Assist in incident investigations, track incidents, concern reports, and follow-up corrective action to reduce workplace injuries and hazards for all entities in Inglis.  
  • Assist the Director of Safety & Occupational Health Services with regulatory reporting requirements, including OSHA 300 log preparation and other required safety reporting and maintain documentation. 
  • Support government inspections and regulatory reviews (OSHA, Department of Health, Life Safety Division, etc.) by organizing documentation and preparing requested records. 
  • Manage the respiratory protection program and drivers' safety program ensuring compliance with regulation and organization policies 
  • Coordinate safety rounding activities and hazard assessments; track identified risks and follow up with departments to ensure corrective actions are completed. 
  • Collect and report safety performance indicators and trends to support departmental monitoring and continuous improvement. 
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness activities including drills, hazard assessments, and documentation to support organizational readiness and regulatory compliance. 
  • Inventory and maintain the chemical inventory and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) management system to ensure regulatory compliance. 
  • Deliver safety training initiatives including new hire orientation content and required safety education. 
  • Prepare materials and logistics for safety programs, events, training, and initiatives. 
  • Support departmental operations including billing processes, supply inventory management, vendor coordination, and correspondence. 
  • Manage ergonomic assessments and related training and support for Inglis employees both on campus and virtually

 

 

What We're Looking For: 

In addition to the necessary skills and experience to perform the responsibilities outlined above, there are several traits that a successful candidate will possess.   

  • Preferred associate or bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Science, or related field. 
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience supporting occupational health, safety, or risk management programs, preferably in healthcare, long-term care, or similar operational environments. 
  • OSHA 30-hour General Industry certification required or must be obtained within the first 3 months of employment. 
  • Respiratory Protection Program Trainer Certification required or must be obtained within the first 3 months of employment. 
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety standards, incident reporting processes, and applicable federal and state safety regulations required. 
  • Experience supporting incident investigations, safety programs, regulatory compliance, safety data tracking, or workplace safety initiatives preferred. 
  • Familiarity with respiratory protection programs, employee health programs, or healthcare safety practices preferred. 
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements and communicate them clearly to employees and leaders. 
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate records, and support regulatory documentation requirements. 

Pay Rate for this Role: $60k-$65k/ annually
