About the role

Join ING's WBAA Tribe, where we explore new opportunities for AI applications in banking, and validate ideas for the Wholesale Banking Advanced Analytics (WBAA) Tribe. As a Senior UX Designer withstrong research experience, you will play a critical role in shaping innovative concepts, running discovery workshops and conducting research to inform product development. You'llwork hands-on with a cross-functional team to create data-driven designs and prototypes, while ensuring a user-centric approach within your product team. Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced UX Designer withproven research skills to join the Design Chapter in Wholesale Bank Advanced Analytics Tribe. In this role, you will be working in the early phases of product development. Your focus will be to identify opportunities, play a crucial role during the discovery efforts, validate assumptions through POCs, and design user-friendly interfaces that align with the user and businaessgoals. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, researchers, developers, data scientist, data analysts,and business stakeholders, to bring concepts to life in an iterative, research-driven process. You will have the opportunity to discover the most impactful (Gen)AI opportunities for WB. Key Responsibilities: Discovery & Research: Lead user research efforts, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to identify pain points, opportunities, and areas for innovation within ING's opportunity spaces. Opportunity Mapping: Work closely with stakeholders to map out opportunity areas, validate ideas through discovery workshops, and align design and research findings with business goals. Prototyping & UX/UI Design: Create high-fidelity prototypes and designs in Figma to communicate design concepts, testing ideas through quick iterations to validate assumptions. Collaboration & Ideation: Partner with developers, product managers, and business analysts to brainstorm, conceptualize, and validatenew ideas. Ensure designs are feasible, scalable, and aligned with the product strategy. Data-Driven Design: Leverage data, analytics, and user feedback to inform your design decisions, ensuring each iteration is based on real-world insights. Documentation & Communication: Document research findings, user journeys, personas, and design systems to facilitate clear communication of concepts to stakeholders and ensure consistency across designs. Continuous Improvement: Stay on top of industry trends, design tools, and research methods to push the boundaries of innovation in user experience and design.
