About the role
ING is looking for an experienced full-stack engineer with a strong focus on front-end technology who will build the foundation of our web channels to offer the best user experience for our customers. We are looking for an engineer with modern day engineering skills and competences like an eye for innovation, creativity, attention to detail and communication.
The Team:
The Customer Data Area within ING Bank NL. The products and services of Customer Data are essential for the everyday financial needs of our customers. Without access to data of our customers for all customer journeys in the bank, customer cannot see their data, perform a transaction on their (current) account, close a mortgage or get a business loan; all journeys would fail without access to data of our customers. To ensure our customers are in control, we also enable a smooth administration of their personal data (name, address, etc) and the roles and mandates. We do so for businesses and private individuals. We are responsible for the development of the web features for offering best in-class digital experience to our customers. Within Customer Data our teams are responsible for all digital flows to manage customer data via self-service or via assisted services. Therefore, one can truly state: the products and services from the Customer Data are at the oxygen of all customer interactions with the bank.

Next to your work in the team, you also like to contribute to the mastery of other engineers and improve the way of work within ING.
You are a competent full-stack engineer with a focus on front-end development.
You are a hardcore JavaScript developer who has experience with NodeJS and NPM.
You have knowledge of, and/or experience with, the latest JavaScript versions and Web Components concepts and technology with lit-html and lit-element.
You have experience with applying (front-end) design patterns and architecture. Besides that you are familiar with backend technology like REST API's, Java Spring and cloud technologies.
