Project Role : Infra Tech Support Practitioner
Project Role Description : Provide L1–L2 technical support for infrastructure, systems, and applications in production and development environments, both remotely and onsite, following defined operating models and processes. Act as the primary interface with users/clients to accurately diagnose issues and deliver effective resolutions across infrastructure, operating systems, networks, and application platforms, ensuring service stability and quality support.

Summary:
As an Infra Tech Support Practitioner, you will engage in the ongoing technical support and maintenance of production and development systems and software products. Your typical day will involve addressing technical issues, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring that configured services operate smoothly across physical and virtual Solaris environments. You will be responsible for both remote and onsite support, focusing on hardware and software solutions while adhering to established operating models and processes. Your role will include troubleshooting hardware and software issues, performing system updates, and maintaining overall platform stability, security, and performance.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME in Solaris server administration.
- Collaborate and manage the team to perform operational support activities.
- Responsible for team decisions related to Solaris infrastructure operations.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute to key technical decisions.
- Provide solutions to work-related problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions to enhance team capabilities.
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements as necessary.
- Perform server patching across production and non-production environments.
- Provision and configure new Solaris servers.
- Manage vulnerability remediation and ensure compliance with security standards.
- Conduct performance and health monitoring of Solaris systems.
- Troubleshoot issues in collaboration with application teams and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Sun Solaris Server Management.
- Experience managing Solaris systems in both Bare Metal and VMware environments (where applicable).
- Strong understanding of server architecture and network configurations.
- Experience with vulnerability management and patch compliance.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions for server environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.
- Environment: VMware / VxRail Solaris versions pending confirmation.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Oracle Solaris.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
