We are hiring an experienced Senior Informix DBA (7+ years) to provide 24x7x365 production support for enterprise Informix database environments. This role demands strong expertise in performance tuning, troubleshooting, high availability, and database operations in on-premise and cloud-integrated environments.

Key Responsibilities- Provide round-the-clock production support through rotational shifts and on-call duties
- Administer, monitor, and maintain Informix databases (prod & non-prod)
- Implement and manage:
- Backup & Recovery
- High Availability (HDR, ER, replication)
- Disaster Recovery strategies
- Perform health checks, performance tuning, and query optimization
- Automate operational tasks using scripting (Python, Shell, REXX, JCL)
- Manage database security, access control, and compliance
- Handle patching, upgrades, and migrations with minimal downtime
- Collaborate with application & infrastructure teams for deployments
- Perform incident management, RCA, and documentation
- Maintain technical documentation and SOPs

Required Skills & Experience- 7+ years of experience as an Informix DBA
- Strong knowledge of:
- Informix architecture & performance tuning
- Scaling, partitioning, and throughput optimization
- Expertise in:
- High Availability & DR (HDR, ER, replication)
- Backup & recovery strategies
- Hands-on experience with:
- Scripting: Python, Shell, REXX, JCL
- Monitoring tools: Dynatrace, Azure Monitor, Nagios
- Automation tools: Ansible, Terraform
- Experience with:
- Cloud platforms: Azure / GCP
- Database migrations & upgrades
- Strong understanding of:
- Database security & compliance
- Audit & license management
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
