Role Description
Reports to the MD directly.
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Information Technology System Network Administrator based in Faridabad. The role involves managing network operations, ensuring system security, and providing IT support to ensure seamless organizational operations. You will handle troubleshooting, maintain system integrity, monitor network performance, and perform routine system administration tasks. Additionally, you will collaborate with teams to optimize IT infrastructure and security protocols.
Responsibilities:
Infrastructure & Network Management (The Backbone)
- Hardware Ownership: End-to-end maintenance of servers, routers, and switches.
- Network Uptime: Configuration and troubleshooting of LAN/WAN, ensuring seamless WiFi coverage across the office/factory floor.
- Physical Layer: Periodic auditing and fixing of network cabling (crimping, labeling, and rack dressing) to avoid spaghetti wiring.
- Power Continuity: Managing UPS health and battery cycles to ensure the server doesn't trip during power fluctuations.
System Administration & Peripherals
- Daily Maintenance: Proactive health checks on all office computers, laptops, and peripheral devices (printers, scanners, and biometric attendance systems).
- System Admin: Managing OS updates, software licensing, and local server permissions.
- Communication Tools: Management of company email accounts (Google Workspace/Microsoft 365), ensuring spam filters are optimized.
IT Asset Management (ITAM) & Lifecycle
- Inventory Tracking: Maintaining a digital register of every laptop, mouse, and cable. Who has what, and what is the age of the device?
- User Lifecycle: Onboarding: Setting up workstations, emails, and access for new joins on Day 1.
- Offboarding: Revoking access immediately and wiping/archiving data from the devices of exiting employees to prevent data leaks.
Data Management & Digital Hygiene
- Backup Protocols: Implementing and testing weekly data backups to ensure no business data is lost to hardware failure or ransomware.
- Digital Cleanup: Conducting monthly "Drive Audits." Deleting redundant files, managing shared folder clutter, and ensuring employees aren't treating the company cloud as personal storage.
- Security: Cleaning up malicious emails/spam and educating non-tech staff on basic "phishing" traps.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Network Administration, including configuration, monitoring, and maintenance
- Experience with System Administration tasks such as user account management and system performance tuning
- Understanding of Network Security protocols and practices to ensure data safety and compliance
- Strong skills in Information Technology and related tools to support systems and manage hardware/software environments
- Excellent Troubleshooting abilities to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team
