Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site role for an IT & Information Security Lead based in Pune. The role is responsible for ensuring the safety, security and reliability of Grownet’s digital lending platforms and network. You will oversee key IT projects, manage network and cloud infrastructure, implement and monitor cyber security controls, troubleshoot critical technical issues, and ensure optimal performance and resilience of core systems. You will also coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and partners to deliver secure, high‑quality customer journeys across LOS and LMS platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Security & Infrastructure
- Monitor and manage network infrastructure (firewalls, VPNs, switches, endpoint protection) to ensure availability and security of systems.
- Implement and periodically review cyber security protocols, including access controls, patching, backups, logging, and incident response.
- Coordinate vulnerability assessments/VAPT, track remediation, and maintain a strong security posture aligned with RBI and internal policies.
- Customer Journey & Core Platforms (LOS / LMS)
- Own the technical aspects of customer journey design across LOS and LMS platforms in collaboration with product and operations teams.
- Manage bug triage and journey quality, working with vendors/developers to prioritise fixes that impact risk, compliance, or customer experience.
- Process, SOPs & Governance
- Define and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across core operational and technology functions to ensure consistent, secure execution.
- Support audits (internal, statutory, and regulatory) by maintaining proper IT/security documentation, logs and evidence.
- Vendor & Project Management
- Manage technology and security vendors – define requirements, review SLAs, track delivery, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Oversee the IT project lifecycle (planning, estimation, implementation, UAT, go‑live, post‑implementation review) for security and platform initiatives.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of hands‑on experience in IT, network, or information security, preferably in financial services (NBFC, banks, or a lending‑focused startup).
- Strong understanding of network administration and network security (firewalls, VPN, endpoint protection, basic cloud security).
- Understanding API contracts, integration workflows, and troubleshooting issues with vendors/engineering.
- Product/project management skills: ability to define requirements, manage backlogs, and drive delivery with internal and external teams.
- Working knowledge of AI tools and prompt engineering, with the ability to apply AI safely to operational and product workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a bias for structured documentation and root cause analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Good to Have
- Ability to read and understand backend code flows (Node.js and/or .NET), especially for LOS/LMS or fintech platforms.
- UI/UX and journey design exposure – basic ability to create wireframes, mockups, or low‑fidelity prototypes.
- Experience with wireframing and collaboration tools such as Figma, Balsamiq, Miro, or AI‑based design tools.
- Background in fintech, BFSI, edtech, or lending‑focused startups.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and project management tools (Jira, Notion, Asana, etc.).
