About the Role
Umendra Life Sciences manufactures topical pharmaceutical products for export and operates under cGMP standards. IT here is plant-critical — production continuity, documentation accuracy, and audit readiness all depend on systems running reliably.
We're looking for someone who can own IT infrastructure end-to-end at a plant level: building and maintaining networks, managing servers and security, keeping operational systems up, and ensuring everything is documented to a standard that holds up under regulatory scrutiny. This is a hands-on role with real accountability — not a coordination or escalation function.
What You Will Own
- Network uptime — LAN/WAN stability and ISP management across the plant
- System security — endpoint hardening, access control, and patch compliance
- Data integrity — audit-ready logs, backups, and change records for all critical systems
- Infrastructure continuity — proactive maintenance and tested disaster recovery
- ERP & operational systems — uptime and data reliability for systems the production floor depends on
- Vendor & asset control — full inventory, licensing, and SLA accountability
Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Networking
- Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN — managed switches, routers, firewalls, access points
- Manage VLANs, VPNs, TCP/IP, NAT, DNS, DHCP across all network segments
- Own ISP relationships and ensure uptime through redundancy, not just reaction
- Troubleshoot failures end-to-end, physical layer through application layer
Server & Systems Administration
- Administer Windows Server (2019/2022) — Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO
- Manage user access, roles, and endpoint policies; maintain clean credential hygiene
- Own OS and software patching via WSUS; no endpoints left unpatched
Security & Compliance
- Maintain firewalls, antivirus, and endpoint security with documented policies
- Run and document quarterly backup and disaster recovery tests
- Keep change logs, access audit trails, and incident records audit-ready
Surveillance Systems
- Manage IP-based CCTV and NVR/DVR systems across production and facility areas
- Ensure storage continuity, network integration, and retention compliance
ERP & Application Support
- Maintain uptime and data integrity for ERP and production-linked systems
- Coordinate with application vendors on patches, upgrades, and issue resolution
IT Governance
- Maintain a live IT asset inventory — hardware, software, licenses, warranties
- Document all configurations and changes in a format others can follow and auditors can verify
- Manage vendor SLAs and hold suppliers accountable to agreed terms
User Support
- Resolve hardware, software, and OS issues for plant users — on-ground, not via a slow ticket queue
- Use remote support tools (RDP, TeamViewer, AnyDesk) where applicable
Experience & Qualifications
- 3–6 years in IT infrastructure, systems, and network administration
- Manufacturing or plant environment experience strongly preferred
- Hands-on track record: you have personally resolved real failures, not escalated them
- Exposure to multi-system environments — infrastructure, security, and applications simultaneously
- Degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
- Certifications preferred but not mandatory: CCNA, Network+, MCSE
