Key Competencies:
• Ability to manage multiple IT vendors including sourcing, assessment, SLAs, commercials, payment cycles • Good understanding of centralized cloud IT management, in particular Azure • Ability to continuously research and evaluate new IT related technologies & services • Handle multiple IT related issues and troubleshoot on the fly
Key Accountabilities (includes, but not limited to the following)
Cybersecurity & Information Security (Primary Focus)
● Architect and operate the organization's security posture across identity (Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, PIM), endpoint (EDR — Microsoft Defender for Endpoint or equivalent), email (Defender for Office 365), and network (next-generation firewalls). ● Operate Data Loss Prevention (DLP) controls — Microsoft Purview or equivalent — covering email, endpoint, and cloud storage channels. ● Implement and manage SIEM/SOC capabilities — Microsoft Sentinel preferred — for centralized threat detection, monitoring, and response across all sites. ● Lead incident response end-to-end: detection, containment, investigation, eradication, and post-incident review. ● Manage internal and external IT audits, including client security questionnaires from energy industry counterparties; drive ISO 27001 readiness. ● Operate a third-party (vendor) security assessment process for all critical IT and SaaS vendors.
Microsoft Azure & Cloud Architecture (Secondary Focus)
● Design and manage Microsoft 365 infrastructure for all 11 countries — Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams. ● Govern the Azure tenant: management groups, subscriptions, RBAC, Conditional Access, Identity Protection, and Azure Policy. ● Implement Microsoft 365 Multi-Geo where data residency requirements demand in-region data storage (Saudi Arabia, UAE, and other jurisdictions). ● Operate Microsoft Intune for unified endpoint management, device compliance, and application deployment. ● Drive Azure cost management discipline — monitoring spend, implementing cost alerts and budgets, reporting to leadership. ● Continuously evaluate and adopt new Microsoft cloud capabilities (Defender XDR, Sentinel content updates, Copilot, Cloud for Sovereignty).
IT Operations & Infrastructure ● Lead overall infrastructure for a complex multi-site/multi-country organization, including VPN, data protection, LAN & WAN infrastructure. ● Hands-on experience of O365, Windows 10/11, MS Office, MS Outlook, and troubleshooting of similar applications. ● Manage phone systems — IPPBX, VoIP, and IP Telephony — across all locations. ● Excellent knowledge of video conferencing solutions including Microsoft Teams, WebEx, and Zoom; manage associated conference room AV. ● Administer operations and lead IT system support and helpdesk teams. ● Coordinate with vendors and contractors for IT deliverables — sourcing, SLAs, commercials, payment cycles. ● Manage CCTV, biometric access control, and other office equipment — typically via country-level vendor partners under central governance. ● Carry out end-to-end backup management across all locations, including remote and field offices. ● Manage IT Asset Management, Service Desk Management, and IT Support for company users. ● Manage IT budgets, forecasts, and cash flow; enforce cost-effectiveness. ● Implement and run smooth IT operations across all international sites. ● Maintain documentation of IT processes and compliance management of these processes.
Key Competencies ● Strong expertise in cybersecurity architecture — identity security, endpoint protection, data protection, network security, and security operations. ● Strong understanding of centralized cloud IT management, in particular Microsoft Azure and the broader Microsoft 365 stack. ● Ability to manage multiple IT vendors including sourcing, assessment, SLAs, commercials, and payment cycles. ● Vendor-neutral evaluation: ability to compare tools objectively on technical merit, cost, and fit. ● Ability to continuously research and evaluate new IT-related technologies and services. ● Multi-country team coordination: ability to run a hub-and-spoke model with central IT in HQ and country level IT support. ● Executive communication: ability to translate technical risk into business language for leadership and client audit responses. ● Crisis leadership: stays composed during major incidents, communicates clearly with stakeholders, drives structured response. ● Handle multiple IT-related issues and troubleshoot on the fly.
Skills ● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced — pivot tables, lookups, dashboards) and other MS Office tools. ● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Qualification ● Bachelor's degree (B.E., B.Tech., or B.Sc.) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related technical discipline. Equivalent technical qualifications with strong professional record will be considered. ● Required certification (at least one): Microsoft AZ-104 (Azure Administrator), AZ-500 (Azure Security Engineer), SC-300 (Identity Administrator), or MS-100/101 (M365 Administrator). ● Strongly preferred: ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or SC-200 (Security Operations Analyst).
Experience ● 10–15 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role owning security and cloud infrastructure. ● Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience operating a Microsoft Azure tenant in production. ● Minimum 3 years of demonstrable security operations or security architecture experience with named enterprise tooling. ● Multi-site or multi-country IT management experience is strongly preferred.
