Summary
This opportunity involves contributing to the planning and implementation of secure IT infrastructure for an upcoming office setup. The selected professional will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and interpret requirements across various business units, ensuring the delivery of comprehensive IT infrastructure solutions. The objective is to establish the new site as a fully operational office aligned with global standards. This position will report directly to the Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Design & Planning: Evaluate business and technical requirements to develop the necessary IT infrastructure framework, including considerations for power, data cabling, HVAC, server room setup, and rack layouts.
Equipment Installation (Rack & Stack): Build and organize server racks, mount hardware such as servers, switches, and UPS systems, and ensure structured cable management in line with best practices.
System Preparation: Carry out initial provisioning and setup of server hardware prior to deployment.
Network Setup & Testing: Install, configure, and validate networking components, including wired and wireless connectivity solutions.
Data Center Maintenance: Track and manage environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, and power; conduct physical security checks and maintain asset inventories.
Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detailed records related to infrastructure design, hardware configurations, and cabling architecture.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner closely with infrastructure, network, security, and support teams to ensure seamless execution.
Implementation Governance: Adhere to ITIL-aligned processes covering incident, problem, change, and configuration management.
Third-Party Coordination: Engage with external service providers to validate scope and oversee service implementation, including internet service providers.
Qualifications & Experience:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent hands-on experience.
Professional Experience: Minimum of five years’ experience in IT infrastructure engineering within large-scale, enterprise environments operating across multiple locations.
Technical Expertise:
Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Strong working knowledge of operating systems including Linux, Windows, and macOS.
Solid understanding of networking concepts, storage technologies, and virtualization platforms.
Professional Competencies: Demonstrated analytical and troubleshooting capabilities, clear and structured documentation skills, effective project coordination, and strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
