Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Information Technology Business Development Manager based in Mumbai. The role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and creating strategies to drive business growth in the technology sector. Business Development Manager will be responsible tp drive business growth by acquiring new clients and managing relationships for our IT services offerings. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, a good understanding of IT solutions, and a passion for achieving sales targets. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for acquiring new customers, generate leads, running product demonstrations, building their own pipeline and closing deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and generate new business opportunities in IT services (Web, Mobile, Cloud, Software Development, Digital Solutions, etc.)
- Reach out to prospects via calls, emails, LinkedIn, and networking
- Understand client requirements and propose suitable IT solutions
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and quotations
- Negotiate pricing and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets
- Maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients
- Coordinate with technical and delivery teams for smooth project handover
- Update CRM with leads, follow-ups, and sales activities
- Stay updated with market trends, competitors, and new technologies
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
- 2-5 years of experience in IT services sales / B2B sales (Raas, SaaS and IT-Products)
- Good understanding of software development, web/app services, or digital solutions
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Experience with CRM tools, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or lead generation tools is a plus
- High discipline, self-motivated with a result-oriented mindset
- Ability to understand product features and communicate value
- Strong Client networking.
- Demonstrated expertise in New Business Development and Business Development within the IT sector
- Strong knowledge of Information Technology with the ability to articulate technical solutions to various stakeholders
- Experience in Account Management, fostering long-term client relationships
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales and growth targets
- Understanding of AI-powered software solutions is a plus
Preferred Skills
- Experience selling custom software, web development, mobile apps, cloud, or AI services
- Knowledge of international markets (US, UK, Middle East, etc.) is plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced start-up and IT services environment
