Role Description The Information Communication Technology Trainer is a full-time, on-site role based in Tirunelveli. The trainer will design and deliver ICT lessons for primary and secondary students, ensuring alignment with the school’s curriculum and learning objectives. Daily responsibilities include planning and conducting classroom sessions, creating instructional materials, demonstrating the use of computers and software applications, and guiding learners in basic and intermediate programming concepts where appropriate. The trainer will provide technical support in the computer lab, maintain ICT equipment, and promote safe, responsible use of technology. The role also involves assessing student progress, offering constructive feedback, collaborating with other educators, and participating in school-wide training initiatives related to digital learning.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Information Technology and Programming to effectively teach ICT concepts and support digital learning.
- Candidates should possess solid Communication and Training skills to explain technical topics clearly and facilitate engaging classroom sessions.
- Candidates should possess capabilities in Technical Support to troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues in the school’s computer facilities.
- A relevant diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience teaching or training in ICT, especially with school-age learners, is beneficial.
- Ability to design age-appropriate lesson plans, assess learner performance, and adapt teaching methods to different learning styles.
- Familiarity with educational technologies, productivity tools, and safe internet practices is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills, patience, and a learner-centered approach to classroom management are desirable.
