Job details:
Asymbl is the workforce orchestration company bringing together workforce applications to hire human workers, digital labor strategy to onboard digital workers, and platform expertise to bring it all together. We help businesses attract, design, manage, and scale hybrid workforces that drive more meaningful business impact, faster. Workforce orchestration aligns strategy, process, and technology so the right work is done by the right worker with clarity and accountability.
We believe the future of work isn't human or digital. It's human and digital, orchestrated as one.
Our Data Foundations practice is aligned to Salesforce's evolving data platform, bringing together Data360, Informatica, MuleSoft, and data migration into a single, cohesive capability designed to help clients build trusted, governed, AI-ready data. We are growing the team that will scale this practice, sharpen what it delivers, and extend its reach across our client base.
Our goal is to make client data usable, trusted, and actionable, so it can power business outcomes, customer unification, and the next generation of AI-driven workflows on Salesforce.
Position Overview
This is not a traditional ETL role.
We are looking for an Informatica Architect who has built trusted, governed data platforms, not just pipelines. This role is responsible for defining how data is integrated, cleaned, governed, and made usable inside Salesforce Data360. Informatica serves as the data quality, governance, and master data management layer, working alongside MuleSoft (real-time integration) and Data360 (unification and activation).
You will design data solutions that directly support business outcomes, including customer unification, data activation, and AI-ready data within the Salesforce platform. You will also shape how our Data Foundations practice builds, standardizes, and scales its Informatica capability.
Key Responsibilities:
Design the Data Architecture
- Design end-to-end data solutions using Informatica IDMC/IICS across data integration (batch/bulk), data quality and validation frameworks, Master Data Management (MDM) and golden record design, and data governance, lineage, and metadata management
- Build data pipelines that feed Salesforce Data360, ensuring data is clean and usable before ingestion
- Define data validation, cleansing, and transformation standards
Work Across the Salesforce Data Stack
- Define and apply clear architectural boundaries: Informatica for batch/bulk data integration, data quality, MDM, and governance; MuleSoft for real-time, API-based integration
- Collaborate with Data360 teams on data unification and activation
- Partner with MuleSoft teams on real-time integration patterns
- Work with Data Migration teams on initial data loads and cutover
Lead Modernization Efforts
- Lead migration programs from Informatica PowerCenter to Informatica Cloud (IICS/IDMC), including environment assessment, migration strategy definition, workflow conversion, and cutover planning
- Define modernization patterns to transition legacy ETL processes into scalable, cloud-native data pipelines aligned to enterprise standards
- Guide teams through performance optimization, reusability, and standardization during migration
- Ensure migrated solutions align with data quality, governance, and Data360 ingestion requirements
Data Foundations Practice Buildout
- Establish standards for pipeline design, data quality, and governance within the Data Foundations practice
- Develop reusable assets including mapping templates, validation frameworks, and accelerators
- Mentor consultants and contribute to building the Informatica capability as a core pillar of the practice
Client Engagement
- Lead client workshops and architecture discussions
- Present solutions to technical and business stakeholders
- Translate business requirements into clear data architecture
- Own key architectural decisions and guide clients toward the appropriate data platform strategy across Informatica, MuleSoft, and Data360
Required Qualifications:
Must-Have:
- Excellent English communication skills with the ability to lead client discussions and present solutions clearly
- Proven experience in a client-facing consulting or delivery role
- 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data management
- Ability to work with US-based clients, which may require overlapping hours with US Eastern or Central time zones
Core Technical Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS/IDMC)
- Candidates with only PowerCenter experience must demonstrate cloud migration experience
- Hands-on experience working with Salesforce data models, objects, and APIs
- Strong experience implementing at least one of the following within Informatica: Data Quality (profiling, cleansing, validation frameworks), Master Data Management (MDM and golden record design), or Data Catalog, metadata management, or data lineage
- Strong SQL expertise (T-SQL preferred)
- Experience designing enterprise-scale data pipelines across multiple systems
Platform and Architecture Understanding
- Clear understanding of when to use Informatica versus MuleSoft in modern architectures
- Experience designing data pipelines that support Salesforce Data360 or similar platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
- Informatica certifications (ICP or higher)
- Salesforce certifications (Administrator minimum; Data Cloud/Data360 preferred)
- Experience with Informatica Data Quality, MDM, or Data Catalog
- Exposure to Informatica CLAIRE AI capabilities
- Experience working with enterprise systems such as ERP, HRIS, or financial platforms
What Success Looks Like
- Designs scalable, governed data architectures that deliver clean, trusted, AI-ready data on the Salesforce platform
- Clearly distinguishes when to use Informatica, MuleSoft, and Data360, and can articulate those boundaries to clients
- Successfully leads modernization from legacy ETL platforms to cloud-based solutions
- Contributes directly to the growth and maturity of Asymbl's Data Foundations practice through standards, reusable assets, and team development
- Earns trust with clients as the go-to architect for data platform strategy
