Role Summary

The Fertility Consultant is responsible for providing comprehensive infertility evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment to couples seeking fertility care. The role involves performing Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) procedures, counselling patients, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary clinical team to deliver high-quality fertility services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed fertility assessments and diagnostic evaluations for couples with infertility issues.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient history, investigations, and clinical guidelines.
• Perform and supervise ART procedures, including:

IVF (In-Vitro Fertilization)

IUI (Intrauterine Insemination)

Ovulation induction

Follicular monitoring

Embryo transfer procedures.

• Work closely with embryologists, andrologists, nurses, and counsellors to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Provide fertility counselling and emotional support to patients throughout treatment.
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation as per regulatory standards.
• Follow ethical guidelines and clinical protocols in ART practice.
• Participate in clinical audits, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• MBBS (Mandatory)
• MD/MS/DNB in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
• Fellowship / MCh / FRM in Reproductive Medicine or ART (mandatory).

Experience

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in fertility or Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) practice.

Required Skills

• Strong clinical and diagnostic expertise in infertility management
• Experience in IVF, ICSI, IUI and other ART procedures
• Patient-centric communication and counselling skills
• Ability to manage complex infertility cases
• Commitment to ethical medical practice and patient confidentiality.
