Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Infection Control Nurse (ICN) role located at Batra Heart & Multispeciality Hospital in Faridabad. The ICN will oversee infection prevention and control practices across clinical and support areas, including monitoring adherence to protocols, coordinating surveillance activities, and tracking infection rates. Daily responsibilities include conducting audits, educating staff on infection control guidelines, supporting isolation and precaution measures, and assisting in the implementation of evidence-based policies. The ICN will collaborate with physicians, nursing teams, housekeeping, and administration to investigate infection-related incidents, recommend corrective actions, and support regulatory and accreditation requirements. The role also involves maintaining documentation, preparing reports, and participating in quality improvement initiatives related to patient and staff safety.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong expertise in Infection Control and Infection prevention practices.
- Candidates should have solid Nursing skills and clinical experience in hospital settings.
- Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of Medicine and Infectious Diseases relevant to acute care environments.
- Candidates should be familiar with infection surveillance, reporting, and implementation of standard and transmission-based precautions.
- Registered Nursing qualification (GNM/BSc Nursing) from a recognized institution; additional certification in infection control is an advantage.
- Experience in a hospital infection control or quality department is preferred.
- Strong communication, training, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Attention to detail, ability to follow clinical protocols, and commitment to patient and staff safety.
