Job Description – Manager: Industrial Relations & PR
Location: Chennai
Reporting To: Head – HR
Key Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Industrial Relations / Employee Relations.
- Strong knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance.
- Hands-on experience in handling labour authorities and inspections.
- Proven experience in grievance handling and disciplinary processes.
- Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Fluency in Tamil is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
Industrial Relations (Core Focus)
- Manage employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
- Handle dispute resolution and conduct domestic enquiries where required.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws (Factories Act, Shops & Establishment Act, Minimum Wages, PF, ESI, etc.).
- Liaise with government authorities, labour departments, and statutory bodies.
- Represent the organization in labour-related legal matters, if required.
- Develop and implement IR policies, processes, and documentation.
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure all statutory registers, licenses, and records are maintained accurately.
- Manage and coordinate labour inspections and audits.
- Ensure 100% compliance across all outlets and operations.
Preferred Industry Background
FMCG, Food Processing, Manufacturing, Retail, or Hospitality.
