Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Industrial Radiographer role based in Rajkot. The Industrial Radiographer will perform radiographic testing on industrial components and materials using approved NDT procedures and radiation safety standards. Day-to-day tasks include setting up radiography equipment, positioning test pieces, exposing and processing radiographic films or digital images, and interpreting results to identify defects or discontinuities. The role involves maintaining accurate inspection records, preparing test reports, and communicating findings to supervisors and clients as required. The Industrial Radiographer will also follow regulatory guidelines, adhere to radiation safety protocols, and support calibration, maintenance, and housekeeping of NDT equipment and work areas.
Qualifications
- Strong competency in industrial radiography techniques, including equipment setup, exposure, film or digital image processing, and interpretation of radiographs.
- Knowledge of NDT practices and standards, with familiarity in related methods such as ultrasonic, magnetic particle, or dye penetrant testing being an advantage.
- Understanding of radiation safety regulations, safe work practices, and use of personal protective equipment in compliance with national and organizational guidelines.
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings, specifications, and inspection procedures, with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify defects accurately and suggest appropriate follow-up actions.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with supervisors, colleagues, and clients, and to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Physical ability to work in industrial settings, including standing for extended periods, handling equipment, and working in confined or elevated spaces when required.
- Relevant technical education or certification in NDT/Industrial Radiography (e.g., EN Level II or equivalent), with valid radiation safety authorization or eligibility to obtain it.
- Prior experience in an NDT lab or industrial inspection environment is preferred; willingness to participate in ongoing training and skill development.
