Job Title: Sales Engineer - Integrated Building Management Systems (IBMS)
Role Overview
Seeking a technically proficient and result-oriented Sales Engineer specializing in Integrated Building Management Systems (IBMS). The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical solutions and client requirements, with a focus on system design, estimation, proposal preparation, and technical sales support for building automation technologies.
The role involves preparing Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), handling technical discussions with clients, consultants, and contractors, and supporting the pre-sales process for IBMS and ELV solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Design & Estimation
- Conduct site surveys and analyze tender documents, drawings, and project requirements
- Prepare accurate BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and project cost estimations
- Design system architectures for BMS, fire alarm, and security systems integration
2. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) and technical compliance documents
- Develop technical proposals, presentations, and client-facing documentation
- Ensure all estimations and reports are accurate and aligned with project specifications
3. Client & Stakeholder Management
- Conduct client meetings, technical presentations, and product demonstrations
- Act as the primary technical point of contact during the pre-sales phase
- Resolve technical queries raised by clients, consultants, and contractors
4. Vendor & OEM Coordination
- Coordinate with OEMs for technical support, product updates, and commercial proposals
- Obtain competitive pricing and technical inputs for project submissions
- Stay updated with the latest IBMS and automation technologies
Technical Expertise Required
Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Schneider Electric (EcoStruxure)
- Honeywell (ComfortPoint / EBI)
- Siemens (Desigo)
Industrial Automation
- PLC / SCADA Systems
- Schneider Electric Automation Platforms
Fire & Security Systems
- Conventional and Addressable Fire Alarm Systems
- Notifier & Edwards Systems
- CCTV (IP-based) and Access Control Systems (ACS)
Communication Protocols
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Pre-sales, Estimation, or Sales Engineering within the IBMS / ELV industry
- Strong understanding of building automation and integrated systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, layouts, and Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office (Advanced Excel preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
