Role Overview:
The IC/HR Executive will manage end-to-end HR functions for both manufacturing and retail operations of Mehta & Sons, a premium jewellery brand delving into bespoke and high-end jewellery. The role involves overseeing talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, HR compliance, training, and HR operations while ensuring alignment with the organization’s luxury brand culture and operational standards. The ideal candidate should have experience in retail workforce management, jewellery manufacturing HR practices, and employee lifecycle management within the luxury retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
Ø Setup a recruitment SOP for the company, with clear timelines and systems for manpower requirements.
Ø Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for retail stores, corporate office, and manufacturing units
Ø Partner with department heads to understand manpower requirements and set up workforce planning & budgets for management to review.
Ø Source, screen, and shortlist candidates through job portals, recruitment agencies, and professional networks
Ø Coordinate interviews and ensure smooth onboarding of new hires.
2. Employee Lifecycle Management
Ø Handle onboarding, confirmation, transfers, promotions, and exit formalities
Ø Maintain and update employee records and HR documentation
Ø Ensure a smooth employee experience throughout the lifecycle
3. Performance Management
Ø Implement and monitor the Performance Management System (PMS)
Ø Assist managers in goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans
Ø Track employee performance and support performance improvement initiatives
Ø Set up PIP wherever required.
4. Training & Development
Ø Identify training needs across manufacturing and retail teams
Ø Coordinate training programs including product knowledge, sales excellence, customer service, and leadership development
Ø Create a detailed training plan with management to upskill employees functionally and holistically
Ø Monitor training effectiveness and employee skill development
5. Employee Engagement & Culture
Ø Develop initiatives to improve employee engagement, motivation, and retention.
Ø Organize engagement activities, recognition programs, and internal communication initiatives
Ø Foster a positive workplace culture aligned with luxury retail brand values
Ø Handle grievances
Ø Maintain incident reports & process audits
6. HR Operations & Compliance
Ø Ensure compliance with labour laws and statutory regulations applicable to manufacturing and retail
Ø Maintain HR policies and ensure adherence across departments
Ø Coordinate with payroll, attendance, and leave management processes
7. HR Analytics & Reporting
Ø Prepare HR reports including attrition, recruitment metrics, manpower analysis, and engagement indicators
Ø Provide insights and recommendations to HR leadership
8. Retail HR Support
Ø Manage HR needs for store operations, including staffing, scheduling, and performance monitoring
Ø Support retail expansion projects with manpower planning and hiring
Ø Support event organizations and retail projects as and when required.
Key Skills & Competencies
Ø Strong understanding of HR practices in luxury retail or jewellery manufacturing
Ø Excellent recruitment and talent acquisition skills
Ø Knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance
Ø Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ø Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and retail teams
Ø Proficiency in HRMS systems and MS Office

Ø Willingness to learn and explore cross functional projects.
Educational Qualifications
Ø MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent
Ø Preferred certification in HR analytics, labour laws, or talent management
Preferred Industry Experience
Candidates with experience in luxury retail or gems & jewellery organizations
Candidates with experience in mid-size family managed companies.
