Role Description The Indirect Taxation Executive will manage day-to-day indirect tax compliance, including preparation and filing of GST returns, reconciliations, and maintenance of all related records and documentation. The role involves analyzing transactions for their indirect tax implications, reviewing invoices for correct tax treatment, and ensuring timely payment of tax liabilities. The professional will support tax assessments, audits, and queries from tax authorities by preparing responses, compiling data, and coordinating with internal stakeholders. Responsibilities also include monitoring changes in indirect tax laws, interpreting their impact on clients, and assisting in the implementation of process improvements and controls. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Faridabad.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of indirect taxation, especially GST laws, rules, and procedures, including returns, input tax credit, and classifications.
- Experience with tax compliance processes such as return filing, reconciliations, documentation, and preparation for assessments or audits.
- Proficiency in using tax portals, accounting or ERP systems, and MS Excel for data analysis, reporting, and reconciliations.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret legislation, identify risks, and suggest practical solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, authorities, and internal teams in a clear and professional manner.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills to handle multiple deadlines and maintain accurate records.
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional qualifications such as CA/CS/CMA (qualified or pursuing) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in indirect tax, GST, or tax advisory within a consulting, professional services, or corporate environment is preferred.
