We Are Hiring – Indirect Taxation & Litigation Specialist
We are looking for a qualified CA with strong expertise in GST, Indirect Tax Compliance, and Litigation Management to join our corporate finance team. The role will serve as the central indirect tax authority for our PAN-India fertilizer import and sugar manufacturing operations, ensuring robust compliance, governance, and effective handling of litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee PAN-India GST compliance activities including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B reconciliations, GSTR-9, and GSTR-9C.
Review GST returns and ensure timely compliance across manufacturing plants, warehouses, and branch locations.
Handle GST audits, assessments, investigations, scrutiny notices, SCNs, DRC proceedings, and departmental matters.
Coordinate customs and import-related taxation matters including valuation, classification, exemptions, and IGST on imports.
Act as the central point of contact between consultants, legal counsels, tax authorities, and internal stakeholders.
Monitor Input Tax Credit (ITC) reconciliations, vendor compliance, blocked credits, and reversal requirements.
Support ERP/SAP GST configurations, automation initiatives, and process improvements.
Prepare MIS reports on compliance status, litigation exposure, and governance metrics.
Required Skills
- Strong practical knowledge of GST and indirect tax litigation
- Experience handling departmental notices and assessments
- Expertise in ITC management and GST reconciliations
- Stakeholder and consultant management skills
- ERP/SAP GST knowledge
- Strong analytical and documentation capabilities
Eligibility
- CA Qualified
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Indirect Taxation with dominant exposure to GST and litigation
- Experience in manufacturing, imports, or process industries will be an added advantage
