Description
All employees must wear safety glasses at all times. (Non-prescription safety glasses will be provided by Indiana Furniture.) Hearing protection and work gloves are available upon request. Individuals accepting job assignments with Indiana Furniture must be able to work during scheduled work hours on a regular basis.
Maintenance Technician - must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations:
· Perform preventive maintenance on CNC machines, Conveyors, Hot presses, Edge Banders, etc.
· Replace wear components (bearings, belts, couplings, sensors, motors)
· Assist in alignment of shafts and motors
· Support troubleshooting under direction of senior tech
· Perform basic lockout/tagout (LOTO) and safety compliance
· Document completed repairs and PM tasks
· Building basic electrical panels
· Exposure to PLC and ladder logic
Requirements
· Mechanical aptitude (bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes)
· Fundamental electrical knowledge (24V/120V/240V/480V awareness, motor wiring)
· Can use multimeters for voltage and continuity checks
· Understands lubrication systems and preventive maintenance procedures
· Blueprint and mechanical drawing interpretation
· Identify obvious failures (broken components, loose wiring, blown fuses)
· 3-5 years in industrial maintenance or machine repair
· May have trade school, apprenticeship, or military mechanical background
