Eligibility Criteria for ISRO Scientist/Engineer 2025
Candidates must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the Scientist/Engineer 'SC' posts:
Educational Qualification:
Common Requirement: BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree in the relevant engineering discipline from a recognized university, completed within the stipulated duration of the course.
Minimum Marks: An aggregate minimum of 65% marks (average of all semesters) OR a CGPA of 6.84 on a 10-point scale.
If a university provides both CGPA and percentage, at least one must meet the ISRO criteria.
If only CGPA is mentioned, it must meet the criteria; conversion to percentage is not allowed.
Similar rules apply if only percentage is mentioned.
Specific rules apply for Dual/Integrated Degree programmes regarding how CGPA/percentage is considered.
Discipline-Specific Qualification & GATE Paper Code:
Scientist/Engineer 'SC' (Electronics): BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Electronics & Communication Engineering + Valid GATE score in Electronics & Communication Engineering (Paper Code: EC).
Scientist/Engineer 'SC' (Mechanical): BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering + Valid GATE score in Mechanical Engineering (Paper Code: ME).
Scientist/Engineer 'SC' (Computer Science): BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Computer Science Engineering + Valid GATE score in Computer Science & Information Technology (Paper Code: CS).
Valid GATE Score: Candidates must possess a valid GATE score from either GATE 2024 or GATE 2025.
Age Limit:
Maximum age limit is 28 years as of May 19, 2025.
Age relaxation is applicable for Serving Government employees, Ex-Servicemen, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) as per Government of India orders.

Salary and Benefits for ISRO Scientist/Engineer
Selected candidates will be appointed as Scientist/Engineer 'SC' in Level 10 of the Pay Matrix.
Basic Pay: Minimum ₹ 56,100/- per month.
Allowances: Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance as per extant government rules.
Pension: Governed by the New Pension Scheme/Unified Pension Scheme.
Other Benefits: Medical facilities for self and dependents, subsidized canteen, limited quarter facility (in lieu of HRA), Leave Travel Concession (LTC), Group Insurance, House Building Advance, etc., as admissible under Central Government orders.
