Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Head Chef at Orange Flame Cafe located in New Delhi. The Head Chef will oversee the kitchen's daily operations, including planning menus, supervising food preparation, and managing kitchen staff to ensure consistent quality and efficiency. Responsibilities also include maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, managing inventory, and collaborating with management to create innovative dishes and seasonal menus that align with the café’s brand. The role also involves training kitchen staff, ensuring the cost-effectiveness of operations, and creating exceptional culinary experiences for customers.
Qualifications
- Excellent culinary skills, including cooking, plating, and menu planning
- Proficiency in kitchen management tasks such as inventory control, budgeting, and cost management
- Strong leadership and team management abilities to effectively oversee and train kitchen staff
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations with a commitment to maintaining high standards
- Adaptability and creativity in developing innovative and seasonal dishes
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant culinary experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred
- Familiarity with diverse cuisines is a plus
