: Project Investigation of Therapeutic Potential of NDP Modulation in AD Profile

Applications are invited for the post of Project Research Scientist I (Non- Medical), One from Indian nationals only for project position(s) for the consultancy/research project(s) under the Principal Investigator (Name: Prof. Sachin Suresh Tiwari), Dept. of Biosciences and Bioengineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.

This position needs technical proficiency in cell culture, molecular biology and mouse models of neurodegeneration. The Project Research Scientist will be involved in executing the project in a timely fashion, performing result analysis, and communicating the results to the Principal Investigator. Also, the project staff will train and assist other lab members/researchers as and when directed by the PI. Writing reports, publication drafts, and other tasks related to the project will be handled by the staff as needed.

Duration

One year and subsequently for the project duration based on performance review of the staff.

Money

Rs 61,600 (Rs 56000 HRA as per rules) / Month.

Qualification

B.Tech, BS (4 years), M.Sc, M.Tech, M. Pharm or integrated PG course in Molecular Genetics, Neuroscience, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Pharmacology, Life Sciences or allied Discipline.

Desirable: Experience in any two of the following techniques:

• Cell culture (specifically iPSC)
• Molecular biology techniques
• Mouse model brain stereotactic surgery
• Proteomics
• Mouse behavior analysis.

12 Years Experience After Completing Essential Qualification Is Preferred.
