Responsibilities:
Ā· Lead small to medium distributed testing teams, typically employing Test Leads to oversee sub-teams.
Ā· Conduct cost estimates and report testing and overruns. Provide direction to teams on quality, quality measurement and process guidelines.
Ā· Coordinate with various departments for testing projects.
Ā· Orchestrate activities of multiple testing teams that share resources (e.g., test environments) to ensure that synergies are leveraged and conflicts are avoided.
Ā· Customize organizational standard QA process and implement it in projects.
Ā· Identify meaningful metrics for testing, establish metrics program and use collected metrics information for decision-making.
Ā· Mitigate risks and issues escalated by testing team, Test Leads or other stakeholders.
Ā· Champion a ācontinuous improvementā approach at project and organizational level.
Ā· Manage client relations at the project level.
Ā· Facilitate Root Cause Analysis of defects at the application level and work with Release coordinator to drive improvements
Ā· Define and Enforce Test Standards. Ensure compliance to testing related guidelines, standards and policies within the team
Ā· Review the work done by the team members and assume complete ownership for the quality of the deliverables
Qualifications - External
Qualifications:
Ā· Bachelorās degree or equivalent work experience
Ā· 10+ years of relevant experience in quality assurance, release management or similar
Ā· Industry-recognized certification in the areas of Project Management, QA and testing (e.g., CSTE, CSQA, CQE, or PMP) preferred.
Ā· Knowledge of and experience using test automation tools such as HP Quick Test Pro, Rational Functional Tester, Compuware QA Run
Ā· Must have an Android or iOS device which is compatible with the free Microsoft Authenticator app.
Hybrid
Independence has implemented a āHybridā model which consists of Associates working in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and remotely 2 days a week (Monday & Friday). This role is designated as a role that fits into the āHybridā model. While associates may work remotely on our designated remote days, the work must be performed in the Tri-State Area of Delaware, New Jersey or Pennsylvania.
