Required Education and Certifications Critical for the Role-
- Full time Masters/MBA in (HR, Statistics, Math’s, Commerce, Economics, Business & Market Research) from Tier 1 Schools with 1-3 Years of experience.
- Significant exposure to Compensation, Rewards, Benchmarking
Required Years of Experience –
- Graduates with 6-7 years of relevant experience in Executive Compensation domain.

Job Responsibilities
This role demands leading end-to-end research projects to inform executive decisions in executive compensation and rewards space
- You will be expected to research and understand Industry Archetypes and Business Models. You will apply this knowledge to write thought leadership and POV on matters of Rewards, Performance and Talent to Boards and Executive teams. You will be expected to design business-aligned executive remunerations strategies.
- You will be expected to lead projects including design and execution of primary/secondary research projects, from hypothesis to validation.
- You will be expected to analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitor data to guide projects, research pieces and benchmarks.
- You will be expected to produce executive reports, dashboards, and presentations with actionable recommendations.
- You will be expected to collaborate cross-functionally to align research with business goals and measure impact.
- Monitor emerging domains (e.g., GenAI governance, ESG metrics evolution) to propose and develop 4-6 POVs/white papers annually, including topic ideation, research scoping, stakeholder interviews, and final publication-ready drafts that drive client leads and firm branding
- You will be expected to build clients’ engagement capabilities on projects related to Senior/Top Management and Board compensation. These projects would typically be around structuring and benchmarking of CXO level pay and involves working with client representatives (typically senior HR executives like Head C&B, Head HR; CEOs, Compensation Committees) in defining the right comparator group(s), collection of market data from primary and secondary sources, analysis of market data, report preparation and presentations to the top management and/or the Compensation Committee of the Board
- You will be expected to interface with Aon’s advisory and advisory teams for integrated projects in the areas of broad-based compensation, talent assessments, talent advisory, HR effectiveness and organization effectiveness.
- You will be responsible for managing existing flagship research initiatives such as Executive Compensation Survey and Non-Executive Directors Compensation. You will be encouraged to develop new flagship research on areas such as Private Markets Rewards and Conglomerate Rewards
- You will be expected to develop a very strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to executive compensation and share-based compensation (e.g. relevant sections of Companies Act, SEBI Regulations on Share Based Payments etc.) and be up to date with any changes
- You will be expected to build the research pieces for Governance business and engage with clients in the areas of Board Evaluation, training for Compensation Committees as per the requirements under Companies Act – 2013, SEBI Listing Agreement etc. and develop new offers in this field.
- Senior Associate Consultants will also be additionally responsible for:
- Practice initiative management such as creating consulting toolkits
- Specialization to a cluster of industries such as Financial Institutions, Technology and offshoring
Skills/Competencies Required
- Analytical Thinking and Data Interpretation: Ability to dissect quantitative/qualitative data, spot trends, and forecast outcomes using statistical modeling
- Research Methodologies: Proficiency in surveys, interviews, focus groups, and secondary data analysis for unbiased, reliable studies
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise with tools like MS Office, SPSS, Advanced Excel, Power BI, Visualization, and Storyboarding
- Business Acumen: Skill in linking insights to strategies, understanding market behavior, and competitive landscapes
- Communication and Storytelling: Translating complex findings into clear reports, presentations, and recommendations for stakeholders
- Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Critical thinking to pivot on unexpected data, with AI familiarity for efficient workflows
- Project Management: Strong organization to handle multiple deadlines, ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables
- Trend Forecasting for Thought Leadership: Sharp ability to scan horizon signals—such as regulatory shifts, tech disruptions (e.g., AI implementation and Governance) —to pinpoint underexplored topics ripe for POVs and white papers; involves synthesizing disparate data sources, validating with expert networks, and crafting outlines that position the firm as an industry authority.
