Role Summary
We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer with 4–6 years of hands-on experience in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) to join our Hyderabad engineering team. The role focuses on designing and delivering scalable web applications, improving system performance, and mentoring junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end development of web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node).
- Build responsive, accessible, and high-performance user interfaces using React (hooks, functional components).
- Design and implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and server-side logic with Node.js and Express.js.
- Model and optimize NoSQL schemas and queries for MongoDB, including aggregation pipelines.
- Implement authentication and authorization (JWT/OAuth), and integrate third-party APIs and services.
- Work with product, design, QA, and DevOps teams in Agile sprints; participate in sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Docker-based deployments; collaborate on cloud deployments (AWS/GCP).
- Conduct code reviews, write unit/integration tests (Jest/Cypress), and mentor junior developers.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform performance tuning, and ensure application reliability and security.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- 4–6 years of professional experience building full-stack applications using the MERN stack.
- Strong expertise in React.js, including state management (Redux/Context API), routing, and performance optimization.
- Proficient with Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB (Mongoose, schema design, indexing).
- Solid JavaScript (ES6+) skills; familiarity with TypeScript is preferred.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions/Jenkins), Docker, and basic cloud services (AWS/GCP).
- Experience writing unit and integration tests and applying TDD principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills, good communication, and ability to work independently and in a team.
- Hyderabad-based candidates or those willing to relocate preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Next.js, GraphQL, serverless functions, or microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Redis, Elasticsearch, or message queues (RabbitMQ/Kafka).
- AWS certifications or hands-on DevOps experience.
- Active GitHub portfolio or contributions to open-source projects.
