As a business application consulting generalist at PwC, you will provide consulting services for a wide range of business applications. You will leverage a broad understanding of various software solutions to assist clients in optimising operational efficiency through analysis, implementation, training, and support.

Job Description & Summary: Design, build, and unit‑test Finacle custom components, integrations, and reports aligned to functional/technical specs. Ensure performance, stability, and compliance across deposits, retail lending, and payments workflows. Collaborate with techno‑functional consultants, testers, and operations teams to deliver high‑quality releases and support SIT/UAT through go‑live.
Responsibilities:
- Develop customizations, interfaces, and reports in line with approved TSD/FSD, following bank coding standards and secure coding practices.
- Write efficient SQL/PL‑SQL (procedures, packages, views, triggers), perform query optimization, and manage data transformations/mappings.
- Build and validate integrations with Finacle/adjacent systems via APIs (REST/SOAP), MQ, file/batch/ETL; implement robust error handling, retries, and idempotency.
- Work with Finacle Integrator (FI) or equivalent integration frameworks for service orchestration and message handling.
- Support EOD/BOD jobs and batch processing; analyze application/system logs on Unix/shell, and implement monitoring hooks where applicable.
- Prepare and execute unit tests with evidence; support SIT/UAT by fixing defects, creating test data, and validating edge cases (reversals, chargebacks/returns, reschedules, NPA tagging).
- Package builds, manage version control (Git/SVN), and collaborate on CI/CD pipelines with release teams; maintain deployment and rollback documentation.
- Create and maintain technical documentation (low‑level design, config guides, runbooks) and contribute to RCA for incidents/problem tickets.
- Adhere to SDLC/Agile ceremonies, follow Jira/Confluence hygiene, and contribute to estimation and sprint commitments.
- Ensure solutions align with RBI/KYC‑AML/NPCI guidelines as applicable, and with internal audit & control requirements (maker–checker, audit trails).

- Exposure to Finacle Integrator (FI), custom reports/utilities, and performance tuning.
- Awareness of payments flows (UPI/IMPS/NEFT/RTGS), reconciliations, and basics of ISO 8583/ISO 20022.
- Experience with DevOps/CI‑CD, Git/SVN, and job schedulers; familiarity with Jira/Confluence and ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Knowledge of security & compliance practices (PII protection, audit logging) and ITIL/Agile ways of working.
- Strong Excel & PowerPoint skills for producing test evidence and release notes.

Education qualification:
- Any Graduate/Postgraduate/Professional degree in Engineering/Computer Applications (or equivalent).
- 2–4 years of hands‑on development in Finacle (or equivalent core‑banking platform) across deposits/lending/payments.
- Strong SQL/PL‑SQL and Unix/shell scripting skills; familiarity with core banking data models and GL/accounting impacts.
- Experience building/consuming APIs, working with MQ/file/batch integrations, and using Postman/SoapUI for interface testing.
- Solid understanding of SIT/UAT processes, defect lifecycle, and deployment packaging.
