Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Import Logistics & Compliance Executive to manage and coordinate end-to-end food import operations, with a primary focus on import clearances, FSSAI compliance, customs coordination, and domestic logistics management. The role requires hands-on experience in handling imports from countries such as Thailand and Taiwan, along with strong knowledge of sea freight documentation and Indian import regulations.
The ideal candidate should be capable of independently coordinating with customs authorities, freight forwarders, courier partners, CHA agents, shipping lines, and internal teams to ensure smooth and timely clearance of imported goods.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage end-to-end import clearance operations for food products imported from countries including Thailand and Taiwan.
• Coordinate with customs authorities, CHA agents, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and port officials for timely clearance of consignments.
• Handle and monitor Central FSSAI clearance processes, including documentation, sampling coordination, and compliance requirements.
• Ensure accuracy and readiness of all import-related documentation including Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, Health Certificate, FSSAI documentation, BOE filing coordination, and other regulatory documents.
• Coordinate sea freight shipments and track movement of containers from origin to destination.
• Liaise with courier and logistics partners for domestic transportation and distribution of imported goods within India.
• Monitor shipment timelines, demurrage risks, detention timelines, and clearance status proactively.
• Work closely with suppliers and overseas partners to ensure documentation compliance before shipment dispatch.
• Maintain updated knowledge of customs regulations, food import policies, and FSSAI norms.
• Support cost optimization for freight, clearance, and domestic logistics operations.
• Maintain shipment records, clearance reports, and compliance documentation systematically.
Preferred Candidate Profile
• 3–7 years of experience in food import logistics, customs clearance, or international supply chain operations.
• Strong practical knowledge of Central FSSAI clearance procedures and food import regulations.
• Experience in handling sea freight imports and import documentation processes.
• Good understanding of customs procedures and coordination with Indian customs authorities.
• Experience working with freight forwarders, courier companies, and CHA agents.
• Familiarity with imports from Southeast Asian countries such as Thailand and Taiwan is preferred.
• Strong coordination, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment with high ownership.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, Commerce, or related field.
• Additional certification in Import-Export, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management is an added advantage.
