Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Import–Export & Supply Chain Manager for MOHALI location to manage end-to-end international trade operations. The role will be responsible for import/export compliance, vendor coordination, logistics planning, and timely delivery aligned with large-scale education and government projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute day-to-day import and export operations for furniture, AV equipment, IFPD panels, and IT hardware.
- Prepare and manage customs documentation, HS code classification, BOE filing, duty calculations, and DGFT/customs compliance.
- Coordinate with CHA, customs brokers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and port authorities to ensure timely clearance.
- Track compliance with country-specific regulations, certifications, and quality requirements for imported/exported products.
- Plan and monitor international logistics (air/sea/road) with focus on cost control and transit timelines.
- Support warehousing, inventory tracking, and last-mile delivery for Pan-India EdTech and smart classroom deployments.
- Liaise with 3PL partners, assist in rate negotiations, and track service performance against SLAs.
- Coordinate with international suppliers and OEMs for order execution, shipment schedules, and documentation.
- Assist procurement teams in vendor onboarding, RFQs, and contract documentation.
- Support demand planning teams to ensure timely availability of inventory for project rollouts.
- Provide logistics and import-export support for government, school, and institutional ICT projects.
- Work closely with sales, project, finance, and compliance teams for smooth order fulfillment and billing.
- Update and maintain shipment and inventory data using ERP/SAP/WMS systems.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and KPIs related to imports, exports, delivery timelines, and costs.
- Identify process gaps and support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce delays and operational costs.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of Import–Export regulations, customs clearance, and trade compliance
- Experience in AV equipment, IFPD panels, furniture, or IT hardware logistics (preferred)
- Expertise in supply chain, SCM operations, and vendor management
- Proficiency in ERP/SAP, advanced Excel, Google Sheets, dashboards
- Strong negotiation, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to handle high-volume, multi-location operations
Qualification:
- MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations
- Export–Import Management Certification (IIFT or equivalent) – preferred
- 3+ years of experience in Import–Export, SCM, or Operations, preferably in EdTech, IT hardware, or manufacturing
