Role Description The Import Export Executive will manage day-to-day international trade operations, including coordinating import and export documentation, handling logistics, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and trade policies. This full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad involves liaising with suppliers, buyers, freight forwarders, and customs agents to secure timely and accurate shipment of goods. The position includes monitoring shipment status, negotiating freight rates when required, and resolving operational issues to maintain smooth supply chain flows. The executive will maintain updated records, prepare reports, support customer inquiries, and collaborate with internal teams to improve efficiency and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Import and Export skills, including knowledge of international trade procedures and documentation.
- Candidates should possess Import Logistics skills, with experience in shipment planning, coordination with freight forwarders, and customs clearance processes.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication and Customer Service skills to interact with global clients and resolve queries professionally.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree or diploma in International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field are beneficial.
- Additional skills in MS Office, basic data analysis, and familiarity with trade compliance regulations and INCOTERMS are advantageous.
- Prior experience in import-export operations within agricultural commodities or related sectors is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work accurately under time constraints, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem solving are important.
