Role: Implementation specialist – Lending

Reporting To: Delivery Manager

Location: Bangalore

About The Job

We are looking for a Implementation specialist who will serve as the functional bridge between LendFoundry's product capabilities and client implementation needs. The role is focused on deeply understanding the LendFoundry Loan Origination and Loan Servicing platform, translating client business requirements into product configurations and functional specifications, and ensuring successful delivery during implementation engagements.

The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of lending or financial services domain, is detail-oriented, and can communicate effectively with both business stakeholders and technical teams. The primary focus is on client-facing functional solutioning within the bounds of the existing product.

Responsibilities

Product & Functional Solutioning

  • Develop deep expertise in LendFoundry's Loan Origination System (LOS) and Loan Management System (LMS) — features, configurations, workflows, and limitations.
  • Analyze client business requirements and map them to available product features and configurations.
  • Identify gaps between client requirements and product capabilities, and clearly document them for escalation to the Product Manager.
  • Work with the Product Manager to evaluate feasibility of product enhancements requested by clients, providing functional inputs and use case clarity.
  • Prepare detailed functional specifications, configuration documents, and solution design documents for each client implementation.

Client Engagement

  • Participate in requirement workshops and discovery sessions with clients (banks, NBFCs, lending fintechs) to understand their loan origination and servicing workflows.
  • Elicit both stated and unstated requirements with attention to detail and zero tolerance for ambiguity.
  • Present product capabilities and configured solutions to client stakeholders in a clear and structured manner.
  • Manage client expectations on scope — clearly distinguishing between out-of-the-box features, configurable options, and items requiring product enhancement.

Implementation Support

  • Collaborate closely with the Delivery Manager to ensure functional scope is well-defined, baselined, and tracked throughout the project.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test scenarios, reviewing test cases, and assisting clients in validation of configured workflows.
  • Assist in preparation of Statement of Work (SOW) artefacts from a functional scope perspective, under the guidance of the Product Manager.
  • Raise and track product enhancement requests arising from client engagements, ensuring they are well-documented with business context and impact.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, QA, and Customer Success teams to resolve functional queries during implementation.

Documentation & Process

  • Maintain up-to-date functional documentation for product configurations used across client implementations.
  • Enforce use of project management and requirement tracking tools to log specifications, decisions, and change requests.
  • Support change management by documenting scope changes and assessing their impact on timeline and effort.
  • Ensure requirement traceability is maintained from client requirement through to UAT sign-off.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–6 years of experience in business analysis, functional consulting, or product analyst roles in IT or SaaS environments.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the financial services domain — lending, banking, NBFCs, or related areas.
  • Good understanding of lending lifecycle: loan origination, credit appraisal, disbursement, collections, and loan servicing.
  • Ability to read and interpret functional requirements and translate them into product configuration or specification documents.
  • Familiarity with API-based integrations (REST/SOAP) at a functional level — understanding of data flows, not necessarily coding.
  • Experience working with enterprise B2B clients in a client-facing capacity.
  • Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent project management and documentation tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to Loan Origination Systems (LOS) or Loan Management Systems (LMS) as a user, analyst, or implementation consultant.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
  • MBA or experience in a similar role is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SQL for basic data validation and configuration verification.

Educational Qualifications & Experience

  • Engineering Graduate in any stream
  • Post-graduation or MBA with Finance specialization is an added advantage.
  • Ideal experience range: 3–6 years in a functional/business analyst or product analyst capacity, with hands-on client engagement experience.
