About the Role
Your primary responsibility is to ensure successful deployment, onboarding, adoption, operational execution, and long-term account success for universities using SpaceBasic. As a B2B SaaS company, retention and ARR growth are extremely important to us. This role is heavily focused on ensuring campuses actively use SpaceBasic across operations because strong adoption directly impacts renewals, customer satisfaction, and long-term revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Campus Deployments Across India
- Own end-to-end deployment execution for new universities
- Coordinate onboarding timelines and implementation plans
- Work directly with university operations and hostel teams
- Ensure successful go-live across modules
- Travel extensively for on-ground deployment support
Drive Product Adoption & Usage
- Ensure institutions actively use SpaceBasic after deployment
- Monitor campus usage and engagement metrics
- Identify low adoption risks early
- Conduct operational training sessions
- Improve adoption across key modules and workflows
Operate Like a Technical Project Manager
- Manage deployment timelines and cross-functional coordination
- Work closely with product, engineering, support, and customer teams
- Track issues, dependencies, and implementation blockers
- Drive execution across multiple parallel deployments
Manage Institutional Relationships Post-Sales
- Become the primary operational point of contact for institutions
- Build strong relationships with administrators and operations teams
- Conduct regular review meetings with campuses
- Ensure customer satisfaction and retention
Handle Support Operations & Escalations
- Manage critical support escalations
- Coordinate with product and engineering teams internally
- Ensure issues are resolved with urgency
- Maintain high responsiveness with institutions
Lead & Manage Deployment Teams
- Manage a team of 3–5 deployment and support executives
- Ensure deployment SOPs are followed
- Drive accountability and execution discipline
- Train teams on customer handling and institutional operations
This is a player-coach role where the individual is expected to lead the team while independently handling key deployments, escalations, and strategic accounts.
Who You Are
- 5–10 years experience in deployments, customer success, technical project management, operations, or account management
- Understands SaaS customer success and retention dynamics
- Highly organised and execution-focused • Strong client-facing communication and relationship management skills
- Comfortable traveling extensively
- Leadership experience managing small operational teams
- Operates with founder-level ownership
Must: Experience in higher education, SaaS deployments, ERP implementations, hospitality operations, or multi-location operational management.
